Students gather round during a homecoming week bonfire celebration at Flat Rock High School Wednesday. A bonfire used to be a tradition at the school until, for reasons unknown, the activity stopped in the 1980's. Staff decided to rekindle the homecoming event this year. Students, staff and fans gathered round as local firefighters ignited the large pile of pallets. Later, the football team rallied the fans for their upcoming game against Milan and capped the night with bringing the crowd together in chanting the school fight song.
