Five-year-old Dawson Younglove of Monroe lets loose his balloon as he and family join in a memorial balloon release Saturday at Merkle Funeral Home. A crowd of hundreds gathered for the ceremony in which 751 balloons honoring the individuals served by Merkle's throughout their 5 years of business were simultaneously let go. Five doves were also released by staff members.
